Information about applying for the UK Foundation Programme
The deadline to submit an Eligibility Application was the 25th of July 2024.
As late submissions are not allowed there is now no way to submit an eligibility application for UK Foundation Programme posts starting in August 2025.
The application window for submitting eligibility applications for UK Foundation Programme posts starting in August 2026 will be expected to open in July 2025 and further details will be updated here when the application window opens.
Who needs to submit an eligibility application?
The criteria for eligibility applications for UK Foundation Programme posts starting in August 2025 was that you graduated from a non-UK medical school, that you graduated from a non-UK campus of a UK medical school, or that you graduated from a UK medical school on or before the 5th of August 2023.
The eligibility criteria for UK Foundation Programme posts starting in August 2026 are expected to be similar, e.g. that you graduated from a non-UK medical school, that you graduated from a non-UK campus of a UK medical school, or that you graduated from a UK medical school on or before a date in August 2024.
In summary: anyone who did not graduate from a UK medical school within 2 years of the Foundation Programme start date will be required to submit an eligibility application.
